FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Will RYDLYME Marine corrode my gaskets, seals, plastic or rubber?
A: No. RYDLYME Marine will not corrode or ruin gaskets, seals, plastic, or even cork, Teflon, packing or rubber. Furthermore, it will not dry them out or make them brittle.
Q: Are there any metals that are not compatible with RYDLYME Marine?
A: The only metals to be concerned with are galvanized/zinc, magnesium and some aluminum. If the aluminum is designed for use in a water system, which most marine equipment is, the alloy should be compatible with the RYDLYME Marine solution. Any zinc/magnesium anodes need to be removed prior to the cleaning and replaced after the cleaning is completed.
Q: Should you use RYDLYME Marine at full concentration?
A: You may, but it is not necessary. It depends on the amount of scale buildup. For the vast majority of applications, we use approximately 50% product and 50% water.
Q: Can the product be reused?
A: We do not recommend reuse of the product; as it will not be as effective. Our quotations are based on a one time usage.
Q: Can RYDLYME Marine damage fiberglass or paint?
A: No. RYDLYME Marine is safe and will not corrode fiberglass, paint or any other standard marine material. (Click here) for a compatibility chart.
Q: Can I use RYDLYME Marine myself?
A: Do-it-yourself application is certainly possible, but requires some special pumping equipment and fittings. Please (click here) for DIY directions. If your application has no directions, call us at 888-767-6907.
Q: How do I know if the product is still working?
A: Drop a seashell in the RYDLYME Marine. If no foaming or bubbling is observed, then the RYDLYME Marine is completely depleted.
